For my entire life, I’ve lived in Guam. I graduated from George Washington High School and then attended the University of Guam, earning a bachelor’s in Business Administration. After college I became a secondary education teacher in the areas of Physical Education, Science and Math.
After three years of teaching I became an administrator with the Guam Public School Systems for many years. This occupation allowed me to interact with many of Guam’s families and to better understand their household issues.
I then decided to attend law school at Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan. During my years there, I worked at a Senior Law Center that assisted low income senior citizens with wills, deeds, power of attorney, durable power of attorney, DNR requests and such. I graduated in 2001 with an emphasis in Litigation.
After law school, I worked at the Superior Court of Guam as a law clerk. A few years later, I opened the Law Offices of John C. Terlaje, P.C. Over the years I have handled a wide range of litigation issues including probates, land registration, civil proceedings, custody issues, divorces, adoptions, guardianships and numerous criminal proceedings. contact us (click here)
